Heard on NPR this morning...

... that 1 out of 4 flights were delayed or canceled in 2006. Which is significant for two reasons:
1. It's nice when statistics confirm personal experience and 2. This was the worst year for delays/cancellations since 2000. Which means the airline industry is back to their pre-September 11 shitty performance. Thank goodness, does that mean this is over? Has evil been defeated? No word on that yet, at least on nytimes and cnn.com.
